JOB SUMMARY
Internet Sales Representative to monitor, grow and aid in the development of our internet sales business in the heavy duty truck parts market.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Create a positive interaction experience for our internet and phone customers. Creating new sales opportunities and product offering through the use of email, Online Parts Counter (OPC) and phone.
  2. Assist customers with their online purchases and fulfilling orders and sourcing back orders items. Researching products requested by consumer for the purpose providing the correct products on the initial request. Providing immediate or same day email or telephone response to all internet customer requests.
  3. Qualify and verify all sales via internet, email and phone to insure they meet company requirement for fraud protection. Researches discrepancies on orders and/or invoices (e.g. overages, shortages, duplicate) for the purpose of correcting errors and/or returning damages/correct parts
  4. Become familiar with all company DMS, Paccar and Online Parts Counter (OPC) systems. Perform effective online and in person demos to prospects for OPC customers. Assist in maintaining product information for web site including taking photos and product details.
  5. Work with Parts Manager to develop a productive work flow process of the handling all electronic sales orders for the purpose of tracking and reporting daily activities.
  6. Participates in physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses.
  7. Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose for ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Have a high school diploma, or equivalent
  • Professional experience in heavy duty semi parts or automotive parts (preferred, but not required)
  • Minimum of 1 year sales experience (telephone preferred)
  • Must have Internet exposure and/or internet consumer experience
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel Spreadsheet software and Intranet software
  • Ability to positively and proactively handle customer concerns and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

 

SKILLS are required to perform multiple tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: adhering to safety practices; operating equipment used in warehouse operations; operating standard office equipment including pertinent software applications; and preparing and maintaining accurate records.

KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math; understand written procedures, write routine documents, and speak clearly; and understand multi-step written and oral instructions. Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: Extensive computer, Internet Sales, and safety practices and procedures.

ABILITY is required to schedule activities; collate data; and use basic, job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others; work with data utilizing specific, defined processes; and operate equipment using standardized methods. Ability is also required to work with a wide diversity of individuals; work with similar types of data; and utilize job-related equipment. Some problem solving may be required to identify issues and select action plans. Problem solving with data may require independent interpretation; and problem solving with equipment is limited to moderate. Specific ability-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: meeting deadlines and schedules; setting priorities; working in inclement weather; and physical stamina.
