We have a great career opportunity for a Parts Counter Associate in our Spokane, WA store! Earn from $20 - $30 an hour (DOE)!

The primary function of the Parts Counter Associate is to handle internal and external customer requests for parts purchases, both in person and electronically.
Parts Counter Associate Duties and Responsibilities
1. Wait on customers or mechanics at parts counter, phone or e¬mail.
2. Research customers’ requests and needs where necessary and determine correct part(s) needed.
3. If part(s) is in stock produce invoice from computer system. If not in stock and customer wants follow the ordering process.
4. Restock shelves and maintain parts bins, i.e., rearranging parts, clearing, labeling, etc.
5. Assist with annual parts inventory physical count, to include actual physical counting of parts, tallying of counts, etc.
6. Troubleshoot parts department paperwork as necessary.
7. Troubleshoots and resolves problems as they arise with. Inventory control system.
8. Maintains a superior level of knowledge and expertise in the trucking industry in general and Kenworth Trucks in particular. Attends such training courses and seminars as required by Parts Manager.
9. Coordinate parts returns to vendors when necessary and follow through to be sure credits are received.
10. Coordinate all parts department warranty claims. Service customer inquiries, process vendor warranty claim forms, etc., maintain aging of parts warranty receivables to levels set by management.
11. Assist Parts Manager in purchasing parts from local and out of state vendors.
12. Unpack and check all material for damage and correct quantity.
13. Clean and deliver cores to Parts Department ensuring they are appropriately tagged and boxed
14. Maintain both parts and service departments to include assist in housekeeping and stocking of parts.
15. Stock transfers and special invoices on a daily basis for all departments.
16. Assists Parts Manager with special projects as requested, including annual physical inventory count and miscellaneous tasks.
Parts Counter Associate Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
2 years heavy duty truck parts experience.
Mechanical aptitude desirable.
Minimal computer aptitude desirable.
Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information.
Ability to operate warehouse forklift and complete formal training program.
Clearly legible handwriting.
Excellent organization and communication skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position involves both sedentary and other work. For part of the shift, employee will work at a desk doing paperwork, answering phones, assisting customers. For part of the shift, employee will deliver/pick up parts for both the parts and service departments. The employee will stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach, moving about the dealership facility to communicate with managers, employees, and customers. Lifting of at least 50 lbs. without assistance on a daily basis, as well as heavier loads with forklifts and/or additional assistance will be required. Will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
