Description

PURPOSE: The primary job functions is to sale parts and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customer requests for parts, via in person, electronic Internet and on the telephone.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Assist customers in parts sales phone & counter, internet       
  • Research customers’ requests and needs where necessary and determine correct part(s) needed.
  • Work with the Service Dept. to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.
  • If part(s) is in stock produce invoice from computer system. If not in stock and customer wants to order, create Purchase Order and process orders.
  • Ability to operate machinery to perform maintenance procedure on Flywheels, Emission filters & hose assembly. 
  • Work with all sales teams inside & out to provide solution to customers’ needs for parts and services.
  • Monitor all invoices, will call pick tickets & quotes you create to conform to department guidelines.
  • Resolve disputed invoices, credits and cash sales invoices.
  • Participate in meetings with parts department employees to discuss activities and problems of mutual interest and to develop strategies for a more efficient operation in the parts department.
  • Maintain current status on all training workbooks and web base training programs.
  • Maintain work area and surrounding areas for cleanliness, organization, proper supplies required to perform duties.
  • Assist in maintenance of retail area, restocking shelves, merchandising of monthly & manager specials, stocking, pricing, organization of products and overall appearance.
  • Assist with annual parts inventory physical count, to include actual physical counting of parts, tallying of counts, etc.
  • Other Functions • Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Employment Requirements           

  • Have a high school diploma, or equivalent (preferred)
  • Professional experience minimum 2 years of heavy duty parts experience.
  • Proven ability to set and achieve goals
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel Spreadsheet software and Intranet software
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with customers and coworkers
  • Ability to positively and proactively handle customer concerns and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
