JOB SUMMARY

The primary function of the PacLease Service Manager is the supervision of the day-to-day operations of the service department. Maintain and train qualified technicians whereas to have an efficient, profitable service department.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Supervise all service personnel. Review and analyze performance, results, and take corrective action. 
  2. Assure high quality work is performed, minimal come-backs. 
  3. Responsible for selling labor in accordance with profit objectives. 
  4. Assures that all paperwork associated with trucks and Repair Orders are current, correct, and completed in a timely fashion weekly. (Close Repair Orders within 3 days.) 
  5. Maintain exemplary customer relations.  Handle customer complaints and issues promptly. 
  6. Check and review work in progress. Keep customers updated.
  7. Analyze service department monthly profit and loss statement, and adjust accordingly. 
  8. Administer Warranty when applicable. Assure that all rental, lease and customer trucks are current on all factory campaigns. Make sure all warrantable repairs are recovered.
  9. Assure all damage and re-billable repairs are re-billed to the customer. 
  10. Contain costs on lease and rental trucks. Maintain a unit maintenance and DOT compliance record for each unit.
  11. Work closely with main shop and parts department, making sure billing and pricing are correct.
  12. Manage all road calls with PacCentral, and direct calls from customers, working closely with remote locations and other vendors.
  13. Implement and maintain a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance program.
  14. Maintain a 95% or higher fleet PM currency and report Monthly.
  15. Coordinate and control all outside repairs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information
High school diploma or the equivalent
Five years of experience as a heavy-duty truck repair technician
Must have a working knowledge of all heavy truck repair methods
Sales experience preferred
Five years of Manager/Supervisory experience
Excellent communication and computer skills
Ability to manage and coordinate a large department at a profit according to dealership guidelines
Must have a professional personal appearance
