Kenworth Sales Co. is looking for a Marketing Specialist to join our Salt Lake team.

This role is based in our Salt Lake City, UT office and is currently in‑office, with the possibility of a hybrid schedule in the future.

JOB SUMMARY: The primary function of the Marketing Specialist is to support company-wide marketing initiatives with a primary focus on promotional programs, local event coordination, and digital presence management. Works closely with all Kenworth Sales Company locations to execute events, manage promotional materials and websites, maintain accurate online listings, and support charitable giving efforts.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Manage promotional items and branded merchandise, including sourcing, ordering, tracking, and distribution.
  2. Support and maintain promotional websites and campaign landing pages.
  3. Develop creative promotional ideas to support brand awareness and local engagement.
  4. Work directly with dealership locations to support marketing for events including open houses, golf tournaments, and shotgun events.
  5. Coordinate event-related marketing materials and ensure consistent brand representation.
  6. Primary marketing point of contact for location-level event support.
  7. Manage and maintain Google and Bing business listings for all locations, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
  8. Monitor and support Google Reviews, coordinating responses and follow-up as needed.
  9. Apply SEO best practices to improve local search visibility.
  10. Update phone messaging systems, including holiday hours, closures, and special announcements.
  11. Ensure messaging consistency across locations and platforms.
  12. Partner with each location to support charitable giving initiatives, ensuring all locations complete at least one charitable event.
  13. Assist with promotion and documentation of charitable activities.
  14. Track marketing projects, timelines, and deliverables across multiple locations.
  15. Maintain organized records using Excel and other marketing tools.
  16. Perform other marketing-related duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to read, write and comprehend English instructions and information. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva. Strong working knowledge of Excel. Experience with SEO, Google Business Profiles, and local search optimization. Ability to develop creative promotional ideas aligned with brand standards. Basic video and photography skills preferred. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects. Adaptable and effective working in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Professional personal appearance. 
 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position involves both sedentary and other work. For part of the shift, s/he will work at a desk in an office setting, doing paperwork, computer work, and filing.  Extensive telephone and correspondence on a weekly basis. For part of the shift, s/he will stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach, moving about the dealership facility to communicate with managers, employees and customers. Will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and nonhazardous materials. Occasional travel within and outside the State, both by car and airplane.
