OUTSIDE RENTAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE JOB SUMMARY:
The primary function of the Outside Rental Salesperson is to solicit our PacLease Rental department, maintain fleet utilization, and generate and maintain all rental records. S/he will establish the proper rental fleet size to maximize return on investment through fleet pricing, utilization, and cost containment measures.
OUTSIDE RENTAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop and coordinate sales, marketing programs, and strategies for maximum rental fleet revenue utilization and profitability. Proactively maintain a territory call route that includes follow-up, cold calls, and general prospecting of new customers, which should equal 60% of each week’s time.
2. Completes all necessary paperwork for submission of new rental accounts.
3. Maintains courteous and continuing relations with customers and working knowledge of customers’ industries and equipment needs.
4. Provide weekly updates on performance with call logs.
5. Coordinate with the manager on all repairs of the rental fleet, including capturing damage, coordinating estimates, and rebilling customers.
6. Outside Rental Sales will maintain all trucks on the lot, including occasional start-ups and inspections of their overall appearance and condition.
7. Dedication to ongoing Kenworth and PacLease training goals. Goal is 100%.
8. 100% insurance compliance, driver trip reports, rental inspections, damage management, and all other administrative duties needed.
9. Work closely with all other departments in the PacLease operation.
10. The Outside Rental Sales workday shall start and end at the Dealership from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
11. This position may require night and weekend callouts.
OUTSIDE RENTAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. A high school diploma or college degree is desirable, or the equivalent. Professional personal appearance is necessary. Excellent communication and organizational skills are also required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The Rental coordinator works indoors and outdoors, primarily as a sales function. S/he must have transportation to perform sales calls in the marketplace. S/he will also move about the dealership facility to communicate with the dealer managers, employees, and customers. Excellent communication skills are required. This job requires you to climb in and out of trucks regularly. S/he must bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and feel. Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, paint, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials. Must also spend extensive periods at a desk, reviewing detailed computer printouts, inputting data on a Video Display Monitor, filing, placing, and receiving telephone calls, and maintaining information systems.
