Warehouse Clerk/Delivery Driver Job Summary

Shipping, receiving and stocking all freight material arriving or leaving the company. Maintaining Warehouse organization and some parts delivery to local Customers.

 

Warehouse Clerk/Delivery Driver Duties and Responsibilities 

1. Unpack and check all material for damage and correct quantity.
2. Package and ship material as specified on authorized shipping documents, i.e. invoices, return merchandise request, etc.
3. Maintain warehouse to include checking in parts, stocking parts, and keeping shipping Dept and lobby cleaned & organized.
4. Maintain bill of lading and freight bill files.
5. Deliver parts on an as needed basis.
 

Warehouse Clerk/Delivery Driver Qualifications

Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. High school diploma or the equivalent. Clearly legible handwriting. Experience in shipping: knowledge of bills of lading, freight bills, shipping and receiving rates. Packaging skills: knowledge of how material should be packed to reach its destination economically and without damage. Excellent organization and communication skills. Ability to operate warehouse forklift and complete formal training program. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.



WORKING CONDITIONS

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; significant climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity.Generally the job requires 10% sitting, 45% walking, and 45% standing. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness. Driver/warehouse positions may require lifting up to 50lbs. without assistance. Will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
